Orders

When you place an order, you are agreeing to hire a skip bin from Northside Skips. Once we confirm your order, it becomes a binding agreement. Our standard hire period is 7 days unless otherwise arranged.

Trading Terms

Northside Skips operates under these terms and conditions only. Any variation must be agreed to in writing by us. If there’s a conflict with other terms, these terms take priority.

Pricing

Prices at the time of your order are final (unless we agree otherwise in writing). Prices include GST, delivery, and collection. If incorrect

information is provided, prices may be adjusted.

Payment

Full payment must be made directly to Northside Skips when placing your order unless otherwise arranged.

Bin Use and Filling Limits

Do not fill bins above the top rail. Overloaded bins will attract a $150 futile callout fee plus extra weight or hire charges.
Bins that exceed the maximum weight will be charged as Heavy Waste Bins. Any waste above the Heavy Waste allowance is charged at $200 per tonne.
Customers must unload bins to a safe level if they are overfilled.

Additional Charges

Futile callout: $150
Car tyres: $70 per tyre
4WD tyres: $100 per tyre
Truck tyres: $150 per tyre
Fire extinguishers: $90
Gas cylinders: $90
Mattresses: $90 each
Hire extension (7 days): $100
Excess weight: $200 per tonne (pro-rata)

Delivery and Collection

Northside Skips delivers bins on the agreed date, though times may vary. Delays do not entitle customers to cancel orders.

Bins must be placed within your property boundary. If you want a bin on public land, you must obtain the required council permits and accept all liability for fines.

We take care during delivery, but we are not responsible for damage to driveways, lawns, or underground services. Any damage costs are the customer’s responsibility.

Refunds

We will provide a full refund if:

The ordered service is not provided, or
The service is not substantially what was ordered, and you notify us within 5 business days of delivery.

Prohibited Uses

While bins are in your possession, you must not:

Light fires inside the bin
Place liquids, hazardous, dangerous, or prohibited materials inside (including asbestos, polystyrene bonded to concrete, solar panels, acids, solvents, gas bottles, tyres, food waste, wet paint, liquid concrete, etc.)
Fill the bin above its sides in a way that may cause spillage
Move the bin without Northside Skips’ permission

Any costs to safely dispose of prohibited items will be passed on to you.

Weight Limits

Weight limits are specified during booking when you choose your bin size and waste type. If bins exceed these limits, Heavy Waste charges apply.

Northside Skips may refuse collection if bins are overloaded or unsafe. Any extra costs to make bins safe are the customer’s responsibility.

Risk

You are responsible for any damage to the bin while it is in your possession (fair wear and tear excepted).

Cancellations

Orders can be cancelled or changed if Northside Skips is notified at least 2 working days before delivery. Later changes are at our discretion and may involve costs.

If we cancel your order, you will receive a full refund.

Liability

Our liability is limited to the amount you paid for our services, except where the law requires otherwise.

We are not liable for indirect, special, or consequential losses.

We are not responsible for delays or failures caused by events outside our control (e.g. natural disasters, strikes, government actions).

Changes to Terms

Northside Skips may update these terms at any time. Continued use of our services means you accept the updated terms.

Waiver

If we choose not to enforce a term at any time, it does not mean we waive our rights to enforce it later.

Severability

If any part of these terms is found invalid or unenforceable, the remaining terms will still apply.

Governing Law

These terms are governed by Australian law, and disputes will be handled in the Queensland Courts.
